 Year 3

Year 3 is an important year for the children as they make the transition from Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 2.

We encourage the children to become more independent in their thinking and behavior and through their use of Assessment for Learning to be active learners. We also ensure that the children are part of a happy, secure and nurturing learning environment.

The children follow the National Curriculum for English and Mathematics and all other areas of the curriculum are taught through creative and relevant programs of study. The children experience investigations as part of Science which develop not only their scientific skills and knowledge, but also their problem solving skills. We teach Geography and History skills through our topic work, which include Rainforests and The Romans.
